A small country village not far from Bath, UK. 2. Who are your music heros/greatest influences? Captain Beefheart. Hank Senior. Mark E Smith and The Fall. The Harry Smith Folk Anthologies. Johnny Cash. Early Butthole Surfers. 3. What kind of venues do you enjoy playing, what makes for a good show? Mr. Jones is socially inept so does not play live. Plus he only has an imaginary band and they can't play for shit. If he were to get it together though he'd say that an appreciative audience makes for a good venue. And they must serve real beer. 4. How would you describe your sound? I veer between calling it 'avant-country' and 'sci-fi swamp gothic'. 5. What do you foresee for yourself and your music in the future? Ideally where would you like to be in to ten years? Ideally, relaxing by the side of my guitar-shaped swimming pool with a margarita in one hand and a fine havana in the other as I contemplate the downfall of corporate country crapola. Though I'd settle for having a liver that was still in one piece and enough fingers left to pick a guitar. |
